diamante detail on wedding cake?

Hi, Michelle,
I saw one of your cakes on Project Wedding while looking for "the one".
The picture is attached.
I love the simplicity and elegance.
I'm trying to figure out what you used for the silver border and broach.

My wedding has a "bling" theme, and your cake design matches it perfectly.
Thank you, Michelle, for your inspiration and assistance.
I am in Indiana, USA, but my 2 of my cousins currently live in Sydney.  Small world, as you say.
Thanks again!

Hi Kathleen, yes it is a small world I'm always amazed that I get emails from all over it. The silver border is actually a diamante trim - it is not crystal but plastic and is sold by the metre and the broach was exactly that a diamante broach that was used in the wedding theme, from memory it was on the bridesmaids dresses and on their shoes as well.
I have attached a larger image so you can see the detail.
Thanks for visiting my site. Bye for now, Michelle

Oh Michelle I'm so excited for you! What a wonderful opportunity!

The cake looks faaabulous - you say it's big, what were the dimensions, to give us an idea of the size?

Keep up the great work :-)

Thanks Teena!! The cake board was 20" square and the Hi-5 logo was over 4.5" in height.
It was soooo heavy it took two of us to carry it into the studio.
My cakes are always heavy because they are filled with delicious chocolate ganache - this was banana cake with white chocolate ganache layers.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really do appreciate it!!
    Bye for now, Michelle
