Create a Kerry Vincent Bear competition

This week Lyndsay Zoratti of Sweet Cuppin Cakes contacted me to tell me that my little shaggy bear tutorial had inspired this wonderful competition!

Kerry Vincent Bear Competition

Kerry Vincent of Food Network and The Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show and Lyndsay Zoratti of Sweet Cuppin Cakes Bakery have united to bring this fantastic opportunity to show Kerry your best bear!

Kerry will judge the bears herself and name the Kerry Bear on October 3, 2010 at the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show! We are not going to tell you what the winner receives as it is a surprise prize and all I will tell you is that Kerry is amazing to offer this prize.

I was thrilled to be asked if they could include my How to make a shaggy fondant bear tutorial on the competition site and I of course said YES!!

I have made these collages of how this tutorial can be used as a starting point. These are all bears I have made useing this method.

Oh Michelle I'm so excited for you! What a wonderful opportunity!

The cake looks faaabulous - you say it's big, what were the dimensions, to give us an idea of the size?

Keep up the great work :-)

  • Thank you Teena!!

Thanks Teena!! The cake board was 20" square and the Hi-5 logo was over 4.5" in height.
It was soooo heavy it took two of us to carry it into the studio.
My cakes are always heavy because they are filled with delicious chocolate ganache - this was banana cake with white chocolate ganache layers.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really do appreciate it!!
    Bye for now, Michelle
