Chocolate slice recipes coconut substitute?

I am allergic to coconut and I was wondering ...
hello,
I recently found your website and as an amateur cake decorator myself I find your page to be BEYOND amazing! wow wow wow!
I found a great recipe for the chocolate slices/bites and I really wanted to try it out but I am allergic to coconut and I was wondering if there is any ingredient that you could recommend that I could use instead of the coconut in the recipe?
i know you are a very busy woman but I would thank you so much for helping me out!
have a great day :)

marie

Hi Marie, thanks for the WOW!!
To substitute the coconut you could use finely chopped rolled oats which would add a nice flavour or just use additional flour. Maybe you could also add some coconut essence for flavour with out the coconut.
Bye for now, Michelle

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my email.  I will try out your substitute suggestions so I can try out the delicious looking chocolate slices.  Thank you so much for motivating all of us wanna-be bakers around the world with your recipes and designs.

Thanks again!
Marie

Oh Michelle I'm so excited for you! What a wonderful opportunity!

The cake looks faaabulous - you say it's big, what were the dimensions, to give us an idea of the size?

Keep up the great work :-)

Thanks Teena!! The cake board was 20" square and the Hi-5 logo was over 4.5" in height.
It was soooo heavy it took two of us to carry it into the studio.
My cakes are always heavy because they are filled with delicious chocolate ganache - this was banana cake with white chocolate ganache layers.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really do appreciate it!!
    Bye for now, Michelle
